How the pieces fit.

Shroom Labs is a library of researched mushroom grow profiles. Apply them from a Hub to a chamber running OpenShrooly.

Profiles

A Profile is a chamber recipe: humidity, temperature, fresh air, light, and days for each stage. Browse Profiles on this site, then pull one to your Hub.

Hub

Hub is the local app on your network. It stores Profiles and sends each stage's temperature, humidity, light, and fresh air settings to a chamber. Growing does not need the cloud.

Community

Community is this site: the public catalog, ratings, grow reports, and forks. Works with Shrooly devices running OpenShrooly.

Link a chamber

Optional, and in open beta. On OpenShrooly 1.0.6-sl.1 or later, press button 4 on the chamber to open the menu and choose Link this device. Scan the QR with your phone while signed in, or type the 6-character code on the link page. The same menu item shows who the chamber is linked to and lets you unlink it. On 1.0.5-sl.1, turn on Connect to Shroom Labs on the chamber's local page instead. Growing still runs on your network, and local controls win if the cloud is down. Found a problem? Send feedback.

Shrooly owners

If the Shrooly app stopped working for you, your chamber still works. Reuse your Shrooly covers what you get, what it costs, and how to go back. What happened to Shrooly lists what we can confirm, with sources, and the Shrooly FAQ answers the questions owners ask most. Out of pods? Read Shrooly pods: how to refill or replace one. Weighing what to do next? Read Shrooly shut down? Your options.

Free tools: the grow timeline calculator gives dates for every stage, and the fresh air planner works out air changes per hour for your chamber.

Install and updates

Put OpenShrooly on a Shrooly from Chrome or Edge with a USB-C cable on the install page. Later versions install over Wi-Fi when you press Check for updates on your Shrooly's page. Only releases signed by Shroom Labs are accepted, and your Shrooly keeps its current version if anything looks wrong.

Release notes

1.0.6-sl.2 (October 26, 2026): the chamber's own web page now says what is growing, for example Lion's Mane instead of just Fruiting, with a small photo and a link to the profile on shroomlabs.io. This needs the chamber to be linked and a mushroom picked for it on the site. A newly linked chamber also checks in about 30 seconds after linking instead of after 15 minutes, so the site stops saying Waiting for first check-in much sooner.

1.0.6-sl.1 (October 26, 2026): adds Link this device to the chamber's menu, so you can link it to your account without opening its web page. The screen shows the code and QR, then who it is linked to. It also lets you unlink. If there is no Wi-Fi yet, it sends you to Wi-Fi setup first. A link try stops after 15 minutes.

1.0.5-sl.1 (October 25, 2026): first public signed release. Adds fan, fresh air, and light control from the site, and a fix for commands that were applied but not confirmed.
